@Mondobizarrro haha, i think zizek talks about this in that movie, how Private Joker's ironic distance and rebel pretensions made him a more effective soldier, that's exactly how you're supposed to to act -- and ever US military member i've ever met has had this exact cynacle attitude -- the US mil has cooptation built into it's very structure
Anthropologist: "The ancient taboo against cannibalism serves a very practical purpose. For example, the ritual consumption of human brains by a tribe in Papau New Ginea led to the so called laughting sickness an un-treatable degenerative brain desease characterized by... aaah, what are you doing?! aaah aaah aaaaaah" 💀:
the thing about being on a tiny server and posting at weird hours is basically no one sees your post except some trans chick in iceland, and that's a good thing.
anti-individualismbut then again there are positive individualist values that don't contradict collective action, like thinking for yourself, staying true to yourself, non-conformism, non-cooperation with abuse or exploitation, all are good values to have.
So maybe call it self-less egoism or ego-less individualism

Nazi Germany, collective forceWhen I was a kid I remember people would ask, 'what would you do in Nazi Germany? and the sad answer is that we would do the exact some thing because individuals are powerless without mass organization. If we are not organized in bonds of solidarity we are absolutely subject to the external organizations. A human being in moved by these collective forces just as naturally as leaves are carried by the wind. Lone individuals are absolutely determined, organized individuals at least have contingency.
anti-individualismmaybe the survival of the human species and countless others is more important than our individual dreams and desires and many of us have will have sacrifice ourselves so that future generations have a planet they can live on, maybe real freedom means letting go of one's immobilizing fear of death, killing the ego and living for something greater than oneself, and individualism in the context of consumerist atomized masterbation isn't freedom, it's sickness onto death, it doesn't lead to the satisfaction of desires but only the production of false desires induced by states and corporations that can never be satisfied as a mean of keeping us manageable, i'm talking about the production of consumers, viritually all media is advertising driven, and advertising is about producing consumers,, our thoughts and desires are twisted into solipsistic cage of self-delusion or momentary stimulation that prevents us from fulfilling our untapped potential, trapping us within the mechanizations of the murder machine, maybe real freedom and individualization requires community and collective action, maybe there's nothing unique about an individual person, any more than a mosquito is unique, a fire without kindling quickly burns out, and everything sublime human beings have ever created has been a group effort.
