I know exactly what they were doing because i tried to do the exact same thing when i was 12, they wanted to make a symbol that was as compelling as a swastica but also not a swastica, because, ya know.... and well they failed lol
I like the chaos or nautical star which has 8 points, and apparrently has some precedent for use among anarchists
