religion@trans_caracal yeah it's def more reliable, but contentious among historians and theologians just how direct a transmission it was, as there variations in the earliest surviving written texts, or ( don't stone me) how much of the text we know as the Quran in terms of both content and structure originates from Mohamed vs the editorial decisions and embellishments of later scholars and scribes working to codify fragmentary and contradictory oral traditions... so big problem is how much of his head cannon ended up in the text we have today. It's a whole thing lol
