@0x4d6165 Free Software movement in the 90's was very explicitly anarchist, while i think pretty milqtoast by european standards Linus and Pals were basically accused of communism n shit, and tech press wouldn't even talk to Stallman half the time because he was always on some leftwing rant, "Free Software" was talked about in disparaging terms, contempoary anarchism owes a lot do the old BBS era even, guy who made Fidonet i think was anarchist

It is interesting that this culture of mutual aide is basically exploitated by capitalism, like the capitalist information infrastructure couldn't function without this socialistic mode of production
