I mean the Premise
sounds interesting, right? that's why it got greenlit, that's why we're talking about it. In the hands of a writer/director who actually had something to say, who has their finger on the pulse of the nation as it were, it might be a very interesting movie. If they went by the first season of Robert Evens It Could Happen Here or modeled the characters after Unicorn Riot, for example.

But it's not that. It's a psuedo social film, it's a tribute to this liberal idea of the heroic journalist, who is somehow apolitical and doesn't take sides. That's where the Ngo connection comes in, that's his whole grift. Appearing to be a journalist with all the gear and the affectation of objectivity, while also just serving the ruling class loyally, consciously or not.
