tbh I feel like I probably could explain why answering the question "how are you" is an extremely stressful thing for me and how immediately whiplashing into a completely different topic — the one you actually care about — is also extremely unhelpful to everyone who asks me that questionbut that would be quite rude and possibly a waste of time
