this one has to apply WD40 to its joints after going out in the rain. It would appear the right knee was repaired with suboptimal parts and is prone to rusting solid when this doll hasnt moved around much and needs to be broken free once in a while.
Yesterday it got to have some fun in VRChat with its friiends and other various members of the community formed around a_lillian on twitch/youtube
normally any community gathered around a single personality would be bad or alarming, but Lillian honestly is just streaming to hang out with creatures and people and make friends, and honestly, it just feels like hanging out in a call with friends while watching someone stream something as they chat.
It has avoided Twitch specifically because of the ego of some of the userbase and the toxic communities that form there but this is a space that is genuinely kind, and safe.
Also, the whole community does not use a discord server (because theyre large, chaotic, and overwhelming) and rather uses a forum hosted on Discourse where we all get to post about things at whatever pace we feel appropriate, and there's no urgency of FOMO that comes from using Discord or something and missing out because you werent there at the very second something was said.
Its just like.. a community of creatures on the autism spectrum, diagnosed or not, whether they realize it or not, just finding each other almost uncomfortably relatable
finally being around others and actually feeling seen, and no longer having that feeling of being the odd one out is really cool and a nice change
After recently deleting any accounts associated with Meta, it just made another one solely for the purpose of being able to use the Oculus Quest 2 that it just acquired.
Soyl has been sweating over whether or not it would even be remotely possible to restore and modernize this old Pugeot bike that it has to any sort of working order, and upon doing a slight amount of research, has learned that the chances of that are actually fairly high assuming that it's not entirely wrong in its current assumptions.
Not having to spend $500 on a kind of crappy new bike when it could probably spend half that to just get this lightweight old French bike functional is pretty neat
