i don't want to say every person who becomes or aspires to become a priest is a p.o.s. but it's also a safe assumption to make, and it's not 'religious bigotry' either, clergy are a class of people, a very powerful and dangerous class of people... I have many friends and family who are Catholic, in most cases i'd take a Catholic over an Evangelical in terms of who has a more humane and coherent worldview, but wouldn't come within 20 feet of a Catholic Priest lol and just being gay doesn't turn you into some kind of hero in itself

Where I disagree, i don't believe Israel is a separate issue, and the most powerful militaries in NATO are sending weapons to Israeli, who do not need the weapons anyway and are only using them to commit attrocities is a travesty and demonstrates a deep rot at the leadership of these countries that needs to be confronted. This is symptomatic of the corrosive influence of the United States amont other things.

they sure can be but they mostly are not and to change that would require sweeping political changes, which again requires a genuine working class movements in multiple countries, I assure you I'm not doctrinaire, what this will look like will differ from country to country.
Europe surely has immense productive capacity, this is not the only factor in the outcome of the war, the US has dumped many billions into Ukraine, perhaps far less than is needed, but modern wars are more complicated than 'we make more bombs therefore we win', the state of technology has made it so prolonged wars of attrician can basically go on indefinitely, and opening up multiple fronts could benefit Putin. I'm not talking Lenin but Clausewitz, wars are decided by many factors not simply sheer numbers.
the quickest path to victory is and has always been a revolt from within russia which deposes putin / or at least disables the war effort, obviously outsiders have little influence over that, but communication and coodination is still a possibility that shouldn't be ignored. For Putin the quickest path to victory is his allies AfD Le Pen etc. gain political power and simply stop resisting, To gain political power Putin's allies need only outmanuever the neoliberal elites in a handful of Nato countries, which is why i'm emphasizing the urgency of this problem.

hey thank you very much, I am very interested in Zot, when i say how Mastodon or Misskey have a limited horizon of possibility i have those projects in mind ( also friendica and their diaspora support is cool, diasp has a very welcoming culture, idk why fedi instances don't just add a bridge, lazy af, skimming the code it looked like friendica just has one Diaspora.php file that handles all of that, and honestly i think php is better suited for a decentralized social network than ruby or node, easy to learn and modify etc.
i was considering running Streams, I have a Hubzilla account but honestly not the biggest fan of their frontend and i don't think i ever figured out how to use most of it lol, i've been messing around with implementing my own minimal zot/AP server in PHP but would certainly be easier to just make a new frontent for either HZ or Streams and maybe build some addons
BTW Has someone updated the Chess Addon? last i checked they broke it, only chess is a huge thing and if you can chess over zot all types of gaming possibilities open up
AP is a weird mutant protocol lol, StatusNet/ GnuSocial is basically RSS based, but the limits of RSS became very apparently, i have a lot of issues with how Mastodon and other AP based platforms talk about think about developement, in many ways i think they are unnecessarily limited by the protocol, like in terms of the platform as such there's lots of things you can do in terms of what you do with the information once you get it, there's also no reason you can't just also integrate RSS and email into the platform -- like the US that accesses the AP account can also manage RSS aggregates or provide a webmail frontend, Diaspora support or webmention are also not that hard to implement, i think the pubnix model of having a server that hosts a number of services is more the way to go... or Hubilla and how they used ActivityPub just as a 'transport layer" and use their Zot protocol for things like identity management and migration
@TakeV i suspect has something to do with trauma and anger rooted in ableist abuse during childhood, how these words are all used to basically impose submission and obedience into kids by making them insecure about their abilities, intelligence etc.
