the latter shows that their difference doesn't really matter in taiwan / southern china, I guess
I'm not entirely sure if the former is a TW/HK thing or a "this was localized for simplified first" thing

the chinese (simplified) voice actor for the loading screens is so over-the-top and dramatic that it sounds like some sort of official announcement straight out of CCTV
he has a strong beijing accent too, the chinese (traditional) has a more taiwanese-sounding mandarin accent

I was going to complain about "chinese (simplified)" and "chinese (traditional)" being two voice languages in civ 6, but it turns out they're actually different
the written translations are different, so the voice acting has to be different as well (though they probably should say 'mandarin')
