so I'm physically in canada, connected to the internet through a canadian ISP, with a canadian IP address, google knows that I'm in canada, and if I google "thanksgiving" it gives me the canadian date
)

the thing they don't tell you about the canadian (train) is that you pretty much cross one time zone every day, so times get really weird and you get 23-hour or 25-hour days depending on which way you're going
