complaining about transit and energy levels tfw i wanna go to zine club but biking to the pharmacy just now made me more tired than i expected and i need to rest up before first day of school tomorrow. but also zine club increases my capacity in some ways. ive been so low energy lately its prob winter thing partly. it would be less of a thing if it didnt involve taking two busses and get jostled a bunch. and then to school its gonna be three busses. its literally fine im just bitching cuz im tired rn

@solanum literally same haha and it ended up in me doing a full academic/professional pivot (I was studying linguistics at the time). I think I've seen dulcamara when I visited oregon (with striking red berries? or maybe thats a diff one)

@solanum ty! its hibiscus lasiocarpos var occidentalis, which is endemic to the Sacramento Valley of CA :) which Solanum is in your pfp? I have Solanum xanti in my yard which has a darker purple flower

I've been working on a sort of hand quilting project. I've got this pair of pants that are stretched out and the seams coming undone (they are second hand low quality fast fashion made of thin jersey blend fabric), so already well beyond their intended lifespan). I mostly like the fit of them though and I've been wanting to practice and .
part of this is also having been influenced by watching /#lowbuy youtube videos recently and thus wanting to reclaim what would otherwise be trash. sewing down the whole of each piece of fabric like this (rather than say, just the edges) by hand is slow going lol

cannabis science, chemistry question can someone who knows about tell me how there can be amphetamine in ? when I searched for more info all I found was stuff about taking amphetamines and weed together. originally found this cuz I was looking for info about what compounds are found in cannabis smoke (particularly, the non cannabinoid and terpene compounds), and came across this. found in the supplementary info document linked at the bottom of this study:

uspol (yes) @catch56 @agatha if you aren't concerned about privacy, quite easy. centralized exchanges like coinbase, kraken, binance allow you to cash out at around market rate, but they do a take a cut of like 3% and you have to upload your id before. if you got your btc doing something sketchy, there's ways to cash out more privately that come with more risks because that's what the law would call money laundering

uspol (yes) @agatha I guess yeah, but that's such a huge speculation (the whole thing is, but u know), i dont get why there aren't more people who'd want to cash out at least some of their gains. i feel like maybe its an influx of new people buying in because of hype. if you bought in a year ago, you'd have made a 200% profit by now. i mean thats fucking absurd, not to mention anyone whose been holding it for longer

@ai6yr @kusuriya I will say as a resident noob who only managed to get linux going cuz of having a linux gf (dual boot cuz i need windows for proprietary GIS software unfortunately),, mint (debian edition) didn't work for me because it isn't compatible with my wifi antenna apparently. Pop! OS did work though.
