seems to be stuck on trying to refresh my metadata, even with no media installed. reformatting the internal storage didn't work. the only thing i haven't tried is reinstalling the firmware, but those files are lost media now afaik

I do not consider my kindle a screen in this context. it's offline, looks like paper, and only contains reading material
I bought a physical alarm clock, notepad, calendar, address book. installed a screentime tracker. I loaded new stuff into my kindle. also, bought some small whiteboards.
gonna reduce screentime and hopefully stop scrolling out of habit.
