something silly to get into that makes things feel like “the real science” around autism is pseudoscience is that this one is not only transfem and autistic, but was undiagnosed with autism until it was in its 20s because of the same reason cis women are undiagnosed until their 20s: this one has “girl autism” in the sense of the ridiculous amounts of masking and skills doing it
not to say amab autistic people dont do that
but also maybe defining the whole thing as “this is male autism” or “this is female autism” as a thing is just sort of silly
who knows
its really frustrating some times because it feels like in the “smart brain science person” sector of things, being neurodivergent is a highly debated thing, or things are highly subjective
while it would be easier to just map things out as being one way or the other, its almost like theres variety between those who have it and that the whole thing is a spectrum and not something binary
kinda like gender or something
