the republicans are doing all the things they always wanted to do because the the democratic party basically imploded as their leadership are completely hallowed out by corporate interests and too cowardly to even pretend to support the interests of the working class, or appeal to basic human rightrs, they continue to exist only to present a left wing opposition party from taking shape, and the only way that can happen is if the old guard of the democrats are ousted. I doubt that's going to happen, so revolution seems like the most realistic solution at this point.
Even if the democrats come back into power in 2028 or more likely '32, i doubt that they were undue any of the damage that's already been done or hold anyone accountable.
