to be clear, there are about a billion ways to pressure steam, itch, and other platforms to make them cave, payment processors are just the easiest one
switching to crypto does not solve the underlying problem of sex work being stigmatized and platforms being willing to turn on a dime when they get in trouble, but it does partially solve the fact that visa/mastercard have a monopoly on international payment processing, and we kinda need to receive money to exist under capitalism )))

I'm examining how viable/bad using monero for transactions is, the main problems I have are:
1. energy cost — seems low, like a nuclear reactor at most; probably still way more than a credit card transaction tho, and idk how many people actually use monero
2. hardware, centralization of mining — seems like they have that figured out
3. transaction time — a few minutes to an hour, not ideal but tolerable
4. value volatility — seems bad but not unmanageable
5. cryptobros — I forgot that the community around them are still all cryptobros and are painful to witness / deal with
6. the philosophical implications of doing a bunch of useless math just to process a transaction )
