香港咁多新市鎮之中，除咗將軍澳之外，同我最有恩緣嘅就係大埔
我細個嗰陣唔知點解有一排要成日出入教育學院，所以對大埔、廣福道、同埋大埔中心一帶都幾有印象
唔知點解，我老豆間教堂又喺大埔，所以我自問都算有一兩個 percent 係大埔人
坐 74X 入大埔，上落公路第一時間見到嘅就係廣福邨同宏福苑
我當時應該唔知，但係呢兩條邨好似門神咁，經過嗰陣代表緊我準備返唔知咩活動，準備返屋企
聽講大埔人多數都係坐巴士出入，我諗呢幾座門神，對佢哋嚟講唔只象徵新一日面臨嘅挑戰，仲象徵脫離吐露港公路嘅魔爪，就嚟返到屋企嗰種安全感、滿足感
而家呢幾幢樓，變咗象徵住喺制度、勢力面前嘅無力感，象徵住世界有幾唔公平，但係亦都象徵住香港人守望互助、逆境而上嘅精神
我只係希望，有朝一日，呢幾幢樓可以象徵香港政府、建築業、工程界所汲取嘅教訓，所作出嘅改變，成為警剔後人嘅紀念碑

cause at the end of the day, it's not your house that's on the line, it's not your life you're risking (and even if it is a lot of them don't seem to care)
why do the safer thing when you can just do the cheaper (or more profitable) thing and, most of the time, it'll probably be fine, and if it's not fine, it's someone else's fault anyway

I'm mad at the fact that it's very likely that nothing will change substantially over this culture and policy-wise
people will still think that safety is just an annoying obstacle, or being overly paranoid, and governments will continue to be ineffective at enforcing safety-related rules
we can do better, we know how to do better, and we simply won't in the name of a myopic pursuit of infinite growth and profit )))
