do it ourselves gas mask @0x4d6165 let's do it! Key components are:
*silicone or rubber face seal,
*one way valves for input/exhaust,
*Threads for filters, typically with orings or rubber seals
*Eye/face port, transparent plastic
*Adjustable straps with optional counterweight
*Strap anchors, plastic
*Voice diaphragm or mic
*Liquid intake, silicone or rubber

Rubber or silicone parts need to be molded,
Plastic parts would also probably be molded, 3d printing isn't ideal for air tightness. The viewport could be vacuum formed from a flat sheet.

@1 this one has pondered what would happen in a ecosystem with both chiralities. Perhaps animals and plants would attempt to determine somehow what chirality their food is, in order to limit wasted harvesting energy. similarly, food might attempt to communicate this, in order to avoid the attention of half of it's predators. Although lying might also be encouraged. It's hard to say

A combat doll that has to sleep in restraints. Every night it's internal simulations leak commands to prime the weapon systems. The thermal lance particularly, often eats into the chassis if it sleeps unsecured.

Requesting data to inform covid boundaries (Plz boost)

Hello creatures and beepers. I'm trying to match my boundaries to the available evidence about covid.
So far my rule has been 'it must be a week since either a dangerous public activity or presentation of any symptoms of illness in self/housemates/fluid partners'

Do you know of any studies or data about the timeline of how infectious covid is, vs presentation of symptoms, or vs chance it'll show up on a test, or vs time since infection? I can't find the link but I saw a table that indicated at a week since exposure, no symptoms suggests 99% certainly of no infection.
